Monochromatic Cityscapes

The third graders created monochromatic cityscapes. We only used shades of one color to create our city drawings. Then, we used warm and cool colors to pick out our background colors.

Flying Owls

Look at the first grade flying owl paintings!

Pop Art Giraffes

My fifth grade students have been learning about the movement in art called Pop Art. It usually contains bright colors and is based off of popular culture. We created giraffes holding IPods, I phones, and Droid phones.

Cities Around the World!

I am so excited to see the results of this lesson! My fourth grade students blew me away by how creative they were during this lesson. Each student picked a famous city or landmark from around the world. Some students drew the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France,Big Ben in London, England, the Great Pyramids in Egypt, Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, or New York City. They used a combination of crayons and water color to make their background. I took a picture of each student and printed it out. They glued their picture to their background. Voila! Look at all their hard work!

Brr!! It is cold outside.
